Nicoletta Lacombe is a bartender at Dalton's Bar who keeps to herself and who always seems to be running a fever and is warm to the touch. She is an outgoing individual when you get to know her and likes to live life on the edge and is always willing to do anything for the adrenaline rush. While she may look like a tough chick, but deep down she's actually really nice and caring. You can still talk to her, she's not gonna bite.
Description
Nicoletta stands five foot, eight inches tall and looks to be in her early twenties. She has thick black hair, shoulder length, which has a few light brown streaks to it and frames her angular face. She has a lean and athletic build. Her eyes are a hazel in color and stare out with a hint of mischief behind them. Above her eyes are two thin and narrow eyebrows. She has a fairly short and narrow nose, a mouth that is well shaped and can look very mean or extremely generous, but always looks sensual and her eyes are kind. An ample pair of breasts rests on her chest. She has her two earrings in her left ear and three in her right. When she talks, a silver tongue ring can be seen. Her fingernails are painted black.
She is dressed in a white wife beater that ends just above her abdomen, exposing her toned stomach and abs, under a grey hoodie, which usually hangs off her shoulders. Her legs are covered by a pair of gray jeans which disappear into a pair of black, calf-high combat boots and are held up by a black leather belt. Around her neck is a necklace that hangs to just above her stomach on a silver chain with a large trinket hanging from it with a smaller ring next to it. On her right bicep is a tattoo of a blue heart and has a tattoo of five tally marks on her left wrist. Her hands are covered by a pair of black motorcycle gloves.
Personality
Nicoletta gives off the impression that she is a strong, independent woman who likes to live life on the edge. She can be sarcastic and has a tendency to tease those individuals she likes, but it is never done with malice and when she gets close to someone, she will still tease them. Her family had taught her to treat everyone how she would like to be treated, no matter how they treat her though she has modified that belief slightly. She will be very nice and caring to other people until they give her a reason not to be, then her hot headed temper will start to come out. She will protect her friends if the need should arise for it. Her main driving force is to take down Hydra and everyone who used her. She is also an adrenaline junkie who loves to live life on the edge. She will be the first one to jump off a cliff into a lake or to jump out of a perfectly good airplane with a parachute strapped to her back. If it will give her a rush of adrenaline, however short, then she will be willing to do it at least once.
Background
Nicoletta Marie Lacombe was born on December 17th in Kansas City, Kansas to Marybeth and Pierre Lacombe. She is the oldest of two children with her younger sister, Corinne, three years younger than she is. Their mother was a stay-at-home mom who kept up the house and took care of her and her sister as they grew up. Her father, who immigrated from France two years before he met Nicoletta's mother, was a professor of French History at the University of Kansas. Her parents were bother very loving and cared for both their children and tried to give their children the best life that they could offer. Growing up, her parents taught their children to treat people the way that they would want to be treated by others.
Nicoletta's mother wanted to instill some culture into her children and gave her children piano lessons. While her sister grew bored of it after a few lessons, Nicoletta took to it and immediately fell in love with the music. She was trained in classical music and kept up with her lessons every day. As they grew up, Nicoletta and her sister became more and more different. Corinne focused more on her appearance and popularity while Nicoletta focused more on her school work and music. She did pretty well in school and was an average student, getting mostly B's and C's in her classwork. Unknown to her parents, she had also started smoking after she entered high school. She had a small group of friends that she hung out with, even a few boyfriends, and was perhaps a bad influence to her. Four years later, Nicoletta finally graduated from High School though she was in the middle of her class.
Unsure of what she wanted to do with her life after graduation, Nicoletta decided to hold off on going to college. She tried several jobs and career paths to no avail, finding nothing that excited her or kept her interest. After she turned nineteen, she got a job at a local bar as a bartender. She loved her new job and enjoyed meeting new people. She continued to work at the bar for several months before she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in music and decided to leave Kansas City, moving to Los Angeles to try to become a famous musician. The news of her decision came as a surprise from to her family and friends, but they supported her decision. She continued to work at the bar for another year in order to save up enough money to move to L.A. and be able to support herself when she got down there. As a going away present, her parents bought her a Mustang GT convertable, which Nicoletta fell in love with and considers it her baby.
When she was twenty years old, Nicoletta finally moved out of Kansas City and arrived in Los Angeles. She ended up moving in with a woman she met through an ad for a roommate and became good friends with her. She found another job as a bartender while she tries to get discovered as a musician. She tries to get some gigs at a few bars and cafe where piano music would fit in, which isn't very easy to find. With some of her extra money, she added a few modifications to her car and decided to get herself a tattoo of a blue heart on her right bicep to celebrate her new life. She even managed to save up and get an apartment of her own, no longer having to have a roommate. Soon after, she discovered the rush of skydiving after she and her friends went one weekend and she was hooked. She started taking jumps once a month and soon as doing it every weekend. She learned how to pack her own parachute and doing solo jumps. A few months later, she started taking up BASE jumping. Her life was going well and she was happy with the way things were going, but her life soon changed forever…
A few months before her twenty-first birthday, Nicoletta was watching television in bed as she was recovering from the flu when her body started to feel really warm and when she took her temperature, she was amazed to find that she had a temperature of 117.3°F. As she was getting a wet washcloth in the bathroom, her right hand suddenly ignited in flames. Horrified, she screamed as she staggered out of the bathroom and into her bedroom. Surprisingly, she didn't feel any pain from the fire though her horror increased as her bed ignited in flames. She rushed to the sink, putting the fire in her hand out before she called 911. The fire department deemed the fire was caused by a lit cigarette that set the bedding on fire when Nicoletta fell asleep. They said she was lucky to be alive and unharmed after the sleeve on her shirt was burnt. She moved into a hotel while the apartment complex repaired the damages caused by the fire.
A few weeks later, and after a great deal of research, she learned that she could create the fire herself and found an abandoned warehouse in downtown Los Angeles that she decided to use to learn to control her powers without setting her apartment on fire again. She has used this warehouse for the next four years, not telling anyone about her abilities for fear that she would have to register herself as a mutants. Through a ton of trial and error (and hundreds of dollars worth of ruined clothes), she learned to control her powers, creating the fire at will as well as igniting her own body as well as being able to create simple shapes with the flames. In December, she learned to create small spheres of fire the size of baseballs, which is her favorite thing to do now that she's learned she can shape these as well.
In June of last year, she decided to give up on Los Angeles after she failed to make it in her musical career and moved to the other side of the country to New York City to move in with her sister who had moved there from Kansas City. She arrived in New York City, moved in with her sister as well as scored a job as a bartender at a bar called Dalton's Bar. While her dreams of a music career hasn't been fully extinguished, she has put it on the back burner, instead she enjoys living her life the best she can and has even thought about trying to get into college and get herself a degree of some kind.
Her life now revolves around learning more about her powers and trying to live a normal life despite her abilities. With the world around her changing and more and more mutants becoming known, she knows that it's only a matter of time before she is exposed and is discovered for what she really is. She has even lost contact with her friends to keep her powers a secret, doing her best to avoid contact with people who might notice her unusual body temperature which has never returned to normal since the night her powers manifested. With the start of the Mutant Registration campaign, Nicoletta has become more and more anti-registration the closer it gets to being passed. With it being in limbo right now, she hope to try to keep it that way however she can.

Athletics
Since she was a teenager, Nicoletta goes out jogging twice a week to try and stay in shape. Since the manifestation of her powers, she has really stepped up and has started to go out jogging every other day when she can. She can jog for two miles before she starts to get winded.
Bartending
Nicoletta has an extensive knowledge of mixed drinks and knows how to serve customers in a bar. She doesn't know any flair techniques with bottles. Because of this, she also knows various tid-bits of information about the various liquors and beers that she serves.
Instrument
As a child, Nicoletta's parents had enrolled her in piano lessons and she loved it. She has since kept up with the instrument and can play very well. While she is able to play various genres of music, her favorite to play is classical. She is able to read and write musical notes and can even play songs by ear.
Parachuting
Nicoletta was trained in high-altitude skydiving through a large number of jumps that she's made. She is able to fold and repack the parachute properly herself after a jump. She knows the proper techniques to use when jumping as well as landing in various types of terrain. Recently, she has taken up BASE jumping and knows enough about it to be able to survive jumping off of large buildings. She hasn't jumped off any antennae or cliffs yet.
Singing
Nicoletta has a natural talent for singing that was inherited from birth. The training in her piano lessons helped her refine her voice to be able to sing in proper notes and tones and can carry a tune.
Stealth
Through the years of sneaking out of her house as a teenager, Nicoletta knows how to move softly and quietly when she wants to, but she isn't anywhere near as good as someone who is trained in the art of stealth. She isn't able to be completely silent, but can sneak up on people who are not expecting someone to sneak up on them. She has the same skill level as the average rebellious teenager has.
Powers
Pyrokinesis
Nicoletta has the ability to create and control fire. She is able to manipulate the flames to form simple shapes, but she is unable to create living beings from them. She has enough control over the flames that she can prevent the flames from burning specific things including her clothing. She can also use the fire to create spheres that are limited to the size of baseballs which can be thrown and ignite flammable objects. She is only able to cause herself to ignite and is unable to cause other objects to combust. She can control existing fire, but can not create it away from her body. The flames she creates begins as the size of a flame from a lighter, but can cause that single flame to expand to the size of a baseball. With enough concentration, she is able to ignite her entire body in flames.
Because of her power, her natural body temperature is 117.3°F instead of the standard 98.6°F and she is noticeably warmer to the touch. When she becomes ill, her temperature turns to 121.0°F. Use of her abilities requires some concentration in order for it to work. Once a flame has been created, concentration is no longer required in order to keep it sustained.
Heat Resistance
Is able to withstand higher temperatures than a normal person and can not be burned. Currently, she is able to endure temperatures of 200°F before she starts to feel the effects of the heats. Her body can withstand a maximum temperature of 250°F before she has to turn away. While she may not suffer burns from this temperature, she will start to feel the pain from the heat. At temperatures above 250°F, she can succumb to heat stroke and/or heat exhaustion.

Apartment
Nicoletta lives in a studio apartment with her sister close to where she works. While it isn't anything spectacular, she has done what she can to make it home. Most of her income goes into keeping her apartment.
Income
Nicoletta makes roughly $4,000 a month from her bartending job at Dalton's Bar plus tips. Her bank account seems to never be able to get above $6,000 with her bills and other expenses that she has.
Parachutes
Nicoletta has several parachutes that she keeps in her apartment. She has one for recreational skydiving, one for high-altitude jumps, another for low-altitude jumps that she uses in her BASE jumping endeavors. She also has the various other equipment that is required for each type of jump.
Piano
Nicoletta owns a black Schoenhut 44-Key Upright String piano that she keeps in her apartment and uses every day. She takes very good care of it and makes sure it's always in tune. The only thing she takes care of more is her car.
Vehicle
Nicoletta bought herself a silver Ford Mustang GT convertable. She has made a few modifications to the car which most noticeably are the Lambo doors, body kit, alarm system and new rims that were added to the car. Nicoletta loves her car and considers it her baby.
Wardrobe
Nicoletta's wardrobe has various clothing that includes her collection of hoodies. Most of her clothing has been purchased from various thrift stores and second-hand stores, while some has been traded and given to her. She doesn't really purchase brand name clothes very often unless she can find them cheap or at a big discount.
Flaws
Addiction
Nicoletta has been smoking cigarettes since she entered High School. She has become addicted to nicotine and can become rather cranky after not having a cigarette or a fix of any sort of nicotine. If she still doesn't get her fix, she can become ill as her body goes through withdrawals, suffering hot and cold flashes, sweating and shaking in her hands and arms. If pushed to the limit, she can suffer huge migraines which effect her powers, causing her to be unable to create fire or control the flames at all.
Adrenaline Junkie
Nicoletta is a big adrenaline junkie and can often get bored when she hasn't done something exciting for a period of time. If she doesn't get a rush of adrenaline for an extended period of time, she can become restless and fidgety. If this happens, she can find it hard to concentrate on tasks as her mind can wander to other, more exciting, things.
Body Temperature
Because of her power, Nicoletta's natural body temperature is 117.3°F instead of the standard 98.6°F and she is noticeably warmer to the touch. When she becomes ill, her temperature turns to 121.0°F. Because of this raise in body temperature, she is more prone to thermographic and heat sensing equipment, showing up bright on the image.
Criminal Record
Since Nicoletta started BASE jumping, she has been arrested several times for trespassing and other minor offenses. She has never had to do hard time and has usually been released after only a few hours, but the longest she's spent in jail is only two days. She still has several hundred dollars in fines that she needs to pay off, but that still doesn't keep her from trying to find taller buildings to jump off of.
Haphephobia
Due to her unusual body temperature, Nicoletta has gone through lengths to avoid being touched on her bare skin. Because of this, she suffers from a slight case of Haphephobia, the fear of being touched. She fears that if she is touched and someone notices her high body temperature, they'll know what she is and out her. Because of this, she often recoils from someone who reaches towards her. She has gotten better in recent months, being able to be touched by those she's familiar with but she still instinctively flinches when someone reaches towards her quickly.
