Alien Invasion Outline

• Aliens arrive in search of a new planet after theirs is destroyed by their sun going super nova.
• Alien ship drops spheres all across the globe which releases EMP.
  • Kills everything with a microchip in it.
    • Could be repaired crudely by someone with tools and knowledge.
  • Survivors are cut off from the rest of the world.
  • Nuclear warheads disabled due to military systems dead.
  • Astronauts aboard the International Space Station are stranded.
    • Fates unknown.
    • Murder/Suicides?
    • Cannibalism?
• Main ship fires a weapon into the world’s oceans.
  • 80% of people live within 60 miles of the world’s coast lines.
  • Creates tsunami’s larger than ever before.
    • Goes to the Rocky Mountains on West Coast.
    • Goes to the Appalachian Mountains on the East Coast.
  • 13.2 million people killed.
  • Coastal cities washed away.
  • Inland locations are safe.
• Groups form to try to keep control.
  • Mostly government.
  • Few gangs and raiders.
• Invasion forces descend to the planet.
  • Major cities invaded first then expand out.
• Military goes on offensive.
  • Most of the military forces are wiped out.
• Resistance groups form throughout the globe.
  • Uses asymmetric warfare. (guerrilla warfare)
• Humans are being taken captive.
  • Anyone can be taken despite age, race, gender or health.
  • Used for multiple purposes:
    • Research for a biological weapon.
      • If unopposed, the weapon will be ready in 1 year after the initial attack.
        • Aliens need to collect and study Earth’s various viruses and other agents and how they react with Humans.
        • Virus would be spread using Earth’s bird population.
        • Virus is an airborne virus.
          • Only 1 in 50 infected survive.
          • 5% of Earth’s population is immune.
      • Being used as slaved labor.
        • Gathering resources.
        • Manual labor.
      • Being executed.
        • Anyone deemed unfit for any other purpose by the aliens are killed.
        • Buried in mass graves by human slaves.
• Earth’s population is now roughly 1 million people, though this most likely will never be known.
• Weapon that can destroy the mother ship secured in military bunker.
  • Plans are located in a military base one state over from the setting.
  • Called a Thunder Rail.
    • Uses power of nuclear weapons to convert energy into steam.
    • Drives steam as steam piston to drive tons of material into space.
      • Speeds of 42 miles per second.
• Open the game before the invasion?
  • Pre-Season can be before the invasion occurs.
  • Have two descriptions for rooms in the grid.
    • • Before and after.
      • Can change the descriptions as needed.
      • Need to have a separate command to change the descriptions of the rooms during the initial attack.
        • Others can be changed as needed.
