The twins\, Anthony and Nicole\, were born two years later. His parents were both talented artists. His mother was an art teacher and his father a comic book artist. As a child\, his parents would entertain him with coloring books and crayons. He had a good childhood and loving parents\, doing very well in school\, his best class being art. He and his siblings got a long for the most part. Throughout his entire childhood\, his artistic talent started to grow. In the seventh grade\, he met a girl named Allison Marino. They soon became quick friends. They hung out constantly and were hardly ever apart.%r%r%tIn the fall of his freshman year\, he finally gathered the courage to express his feelings for her and asked her out. They were the perfect couple. He knew instantly that she was the one that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He was madly in love with her. On March 15th\, 1999\, Dani's world came crashing down around him. He was driving Ally home from a movie when the car they were driving was hit by a drunk driver. The car spun out of control before slamming into a light pole and rolling over several times. Dani was critically injured and slipped into unconsciousness. He was unconscious for several weeks. When he awoke\, he learned that Allison was killed instantly\, taking the news very hard.%r%r%tHe spent several more weeks in the hospital\, recovering from the wounds while he mourned the loss of Allison. When he became well enough\, he moved away from Chicago\, trying to run from the guilt that he felt from the accident. He found himself in New York where he got an apprenticeship at a tattoo parlor. He quickly fell in love with it. Seeing the joy that could be brought to someone as the artist creates a work of art on someone's skin. He found that the tattooing brought him the joy that he hadn't felt since he was with Allison. A year later\, he became a fully fledged tattoo artist. He had soon began to return to the person he once was.%r
@set me=BACKGROUND2:%r%tIn the summer of 2003\, he once again moved to Virginia Beach\, Virginia. He took up shop in one of the few tattoo parlors along the boardwalk. He had continued to work on his art\, tattooing many of the sailors that came from the Navy base. He was enjoying his new life and began to enjoy himself more\, but this was not meant to last.%r%r%tOn October 11\, 2004\, his world came crashing down once again around him. This was the day that he lost his entire family. He was working at the shop when he was approached by a uniformed police officer. He informed Dani that his entire family was murdered at their home. When Dani first heard the news\, he was devastated. He lost everything that he had left in the world. He was the only family that he had.%r%r%tAfter the news\, Dani packed up again and moved. He drove around the country for some time before he ended up back in New York City. He lived in his car for a few weeks before he was able to find work in the shop that he worked in previously and find himself an apartment. Three months after the incident\, Dani's life had changed once again.%r%r%tAfter working late at the tattoo parlor\, Dani had finished locking up and was on his way home when he was jumped by a group of thugs. While Dani was never one to roll over\, he fought back. As he was fighting the thugs back\, the thugs managed to throw Dani against a wall and he slipped into the shadows that were created in the alley. The thugs\, upon seeing this\, became confused and a bit freaked out. They left and Dani was left alone. He climbed out of the shadows and stumbled home\, not sure what had happened to him.%r%r%tAs time passed\, Dani gained more control and began to understand his powers a lot better. He has learned to perform several more tricks with it\, even being able to create shadows and objects out of the darkness. He continues to work at the tattoo parlor\, trying to lead what normal life he can. Most of the nights\, he is out on the streets\, racing the car he spends some of his time working on in order to make more money.%r

@set me=PERSONALITY1:%r%tDani is a very independant person and follows his own path in life. He puts on a hard demeanor when he is in public\, but has a kind and caring nature. He will show this when he gets to know someone and feels that he can trust them. But when you catch him in the shop\, working along side his friends\, then the true side of Dani comes out\, no matter who is present. It is where he feels the most free and the most at home.%r%r%tDespite Dani's hard outward appearance\, he will not stand to see others in trouble when they are innocent bystanders or helpless victims. He will try to help these people when he is able\, but will try not to expose his powers in order to do so. Though these events have been far and in between\, he will let the proper athorities handle things that are too far above his head\, though his ego does tend to get at him.%r

While he can enter confined spaces\, he will be reluctant to do so\, even more so if there is only one way out of the space. He is able to control himself if there is multiple ways out or if the space he is in has a long opening. If he is locked in an enclosed place\, he will be reduced to curling up into a ball\, unable to move. But if he is able to muster up enough courage\, he can try to find his way out of the location.%r
&POWERDESCRIPTION1 me=%r%tDani has the power to create and control darkness and shadows. He is able to manipulate the shadows to form shapes and create the illusion of movement and life, but he is unable to create living beings from the shadows. He has enough control over the darkness that he can cause the light from the area to be removed until there is only darkness. He can also use the darkness to create weapons and can also blend in with the shadows. Being able to create the shapes of stabbing objects and bladed weapons such as knives, swords, axes and other such objects, but these objects are as harmless as a normal shadow.%r%r%tOver time, he will be able to travel farther through shadows to other places much farther away. Because of Dani's powers, he is able to see in complete darkness as if he were in a room with all the blinds closed. It is still dark, but he is able to make out what things are, but will not see full details of the objects.%r
